1-day Workshop & Meditations** on practices with Forgiveness & Goodwill/Metta

“Without accepting the fact that everything changes, we cannot find perfect composure. Unfortunately, although it is true, it is difficult for us to accept. Because we cannot accept the truth of transience, we suffer.”             —Shunryu Suzuki

Impermanence is part of life. We know this. However, letting go can be hard. Join me as we explore how it can be challenging “to let go” even though we may want to very much. We have had hurts and loss. We want “to move on” through wishing ourselves or another well, yet it’s hard to do. The thought of “sending goodwill” is nice but it may seem insurmountable.

“Letting go” can’t be guaranteed but creating the conditions for it to happen is possible.

**The aim of this one-day is to create a gentle container in which letting go of old hurts and pains is possible. Using a workshop format, the morning will include teachings, reflection exercises, and practices to engage with forgiveness. In the afternoon, we move to a retreat format, engaging in a series of Metta meditations, radiating and sending loving kindnesses and generating goodwill to various categories.

Please come ready to “try it on” and prepared to engage in a gentle container of individual reflections and group interactions as we make space for meeting things-as-they-are.

Open to all

**You are invited to bring mementos for those you would like to offer goodwill/metta towards for the meditations in the afternoon.
