Join us for a day of silent meditations & teachings on how to work with the 5 Hindrances.

The 5 Hindrances (sensual desire, aversion & ill-will, sloth & torpor, restlessness & worry, and skeptical doubt) can often be perceived as obstacles that prevent us from succeeding in our meditation practice. During this silent 1-day with Rev. Liên, we will be learning how to become aware of and work with them as emotional & mind states, rather than thinking about how to get rid of them when they arise. An optional Q&A period will be available near the beginning of the day to answer specific needs.

***There are only 12 spots available for in-person participation.

— Please register as soon as you can if you are interested in attending in-person as spots do fill up as our space is limited.

Location:

1252 Valencia Street, Suite A, San Francisco, CA 94612 (about 2 blocks from the 24th Street Bart Station). Doors open at 8:30 am PST.
*Unfortunately, our space is not wheelchair accessible at this time. We apologize for this lack of access.  

Logistics of the day:

• Meditation Props: We have zabutons, zafu cushions, sitting benches, and chairs. The chair seats are not well padded, so you may want to bring some cushioning if you need it, as well as for knee support. Please let us know in the registration form if you need any supplies.

• Lunch: Please bring a bag lunch and beverages with you. The lunch period is a short 40 minutes, so leaving to get lunch somewhere in the area is not recommended. There is a microwave, toaster, pitcher-style filter for water, and limited teas are provided (no coffee available).

• Pay-it-Forward (More than $75K): $150

• Standard ($50K-$75K): $130

• Limited Income (Less than $50K): $90
