A 5-month A2Z Studies Program
We’ll explore Dogen’s fascicle on Zen practice, delusion & realization, and our relationship to reality. “Genjokoan” can be translated as “the actualization of reality/ultimate truth.” We’ll focus on how to apply these teachings in daily life.
Program format: (Online)
1 ONLINE meeting monthly which includes:
Dharma Teaching
Meditation or other forms of formal practice (eg: chanting, sutra or fascicle reading or reflections, etc.)
Session discussions &/or exercise to prep for…
Home practice for the month to go with each of the teachings to see how they apply to your everyday life.
Monthly KM (kalyanamitra/mitta: spiritual friend) pairing or small group to support individual practices on the social harmony points for the month.
24/7 access to a digital course page of monthly meetings’ contents & other resources relevant to month’s topic.
Monthly 1-on-1 Practice Discussion with Rev. during the course (5 total; online; possible in-person)
Full access to Rev.’s Monday night A2Z Meditation Group for the duration of the course to provide you with sangha/community engagement (Hybrid on 1st & 3rd Mondays. Online on 2nd & 4th; & 5th Monday if there’s one in a month,)
