Srinivas is a scholar and translator with a PhD in South and Southeast Asian Studies from UC Berkeley, as well as a classical sitarist trained by his guru Pandit Partha Chatterjee, a direct disciple of the late sitar maestro Pandit Nikhil Banerjee. After a brief introduction to the cultural and spiritual context of the tradition, Srinivas will offer a performance alongside dear friend and tabla player Ferhan Qureshi.
